See yourself behind the mask

Light without color....

That which gives rise to all color

You must begin to see yourself differently

See yourself as something aside from this person

Like the water aside from the form of the wave


Watch this person as it goes along

See the manifestation of its existence

Notice the circumstances that move around it

That which carries it and shapes it


You are that which fills that person..

And also that which fills all around it..


You live this one

Yet this one cannot contain you

This one was not your beginning..

Nor shall this one be your ending..


There is no disconnection

No separation

It is not enough to look inward or outward

Such is not either / or

You can lose yourself in either direction

One aspect or another


How is it that you seek to divide the water from the wave?

Grasping

Just what is it that grasps?

You look at this person you take yourself to be...

The desires, the aversions....such are obvious to the casual observer

Yet that which begs to be seen is well hidden within such


Like water and the wave, there is no real divide

Both are there whether you participate or not

Only by diving in will you be wet

The wetness is what you are looking for....

Perception....

The lens of awareness

Is yours like a sponge?....

Or is it like an oily leaf?


Soaking up all that is wet....

Or beading the moisture so that it rolls off...

Time is not....

Both are in the same moment...

This soaking and this beading of what is wet


Like a piece of machinery

One must disassemble it to see how it works

Doing so while it is still in motion has its challenges

Yet when does such ever truly stop moving?

There is no need to wait

Everything you need is already with you



Duality in Essence is One

What does this have to do with Religion?

It has been said that Desire is the disease of attachment

Most deal with this from the standpoint of the object of desire

Yet cutting oneself off from the objects that arise is not the answer

Like a Hydra, for every head you cut off ..... two grow back

To defeat it one must target the source of the heads


The person/persona is the source attachment

The Mirror does not see itself...

Save only through the eyes of the reflections within it...

And then ...only if awakened within them


Pure movement without moving

Pure action without acting

Always facing outward

Never looking backward

Awakened beyond the need for self consideration

Pure Presence without self reflection

When one looks through the eyes of the persona..

When one feels through this self creation..

When one extends outward into such...

To the point where one begins to look back..

Backwards into and through the "me-ness"..

The trap becomes baited..


Baited with all those things we enjoy

Those things we find pleasure in

The loves of lifes existence

These things are the cornerstones of suffering


The persona begins to like

Those likes become loves

Those loves become attachments

Those attachemnts become the fuel for desire

Absence...

A lit match

Reality is an ambiguous affair

What is seen...

What is experienced....

Is not what it seems


There is Self without the slightest trace of the thought "I"

Presence without the contemplation of it


I...

As a thought...

A sliver of mind..

Arises to this presence


Reality in trueness..

Lies between

I wasn't aware this was open-mic poetry hour.

It's been open mic hour since 2008.

At the heart of Presence lies the keys to freedom

Feeling...

Unattached to mind

Unspoiled and undefined by words


Mind would hold such hostage through attachment

Creating the world around from ones limited vision of person, place and thing

Desires... attractions... and aversions...

Raising a darkened veil to hide from sight

To cast a shadow over awareness

Separating one from oneSelf


Having one chase feelings .....

Or run from them....

Rather than letting mind arise from them




Indeed it is mind itself that arises from the heart of presence

Mind is the servant who has beguiled the master

Many uses, probably. Also, if the Self is like a child seeking to play, then what is in reference to the child that is actually doing the playing? Would this child analogy mean there are others like Self? Why are you giving "self" a singular and plural meaning throughout this post? Ouch.

Between the Self and the self, there is another

But there is no othe-I mean every other is Self......and self, with selfs

Such is a quality that arises between the two

Not wholly immaterial nor wholly material, posessing qualities of both

Like a bridge reaching from both shores seeking connection in the center

Without the bridge of what use are the distant shores to one another?

This post is highly flawed, containing errors I haven't mentioned, even within the quotes I have reflected on. If you would like, I could elaborate the errors I have questioned, and list and elaborate the errors I have yet to mention.

Seeing itSelf is everything

Perspective is only but one thin slice of the pie


Logic seen from one position may not be equal to logic as seen from another


Is a perspective of seeing downstairs the same as the seeing upstairs?

Or ... the same as the seeing outside of the house?...

What of the seeing from the persective of one person to another?

Does not the perspective from each endear itself to inequalities?

Inequalities in both logic and consistency?


The only equal in any and all is the seeing itSelf


It is criticism and praise from any given postion to another that is flawed

Such is based on a common thread running through each perspective..

Yet so often that thread is just that..

Only a mere thread compared to the totality of the whole garment


Logic is of the mind

Step back and see without its conditioning

No, you step in!

Seriously what's with all of these nonsensical posts?

Are these words nonsense to ALL who read them?


Perfectly accurate traveling instructions can be written in Chineese...

But to one who only speaks English they WOULD BE complete nonsense


Where is the right or wrong in this?

No right or wrong, I just don't see the point in constantly posting what seems to be vague gibberish.

Speaking plainly, the point , for "me", is each time a significant realization is made it is cemented in place by writing in the manner in which you see in these posts. Like a mountain climber setting a new spike in the rock face as he moves ever upward.
Once written a new question comes to the forefront. Time must be spent sifting through the conditioning, relaxing the firm grip upon what this one is used to. Sometimes it takes days, sometimes it takes weeks, other times, months before realzation comes. Constant yes, but regular, no. Go back and look at the intervals between postings..
I mull over these things , sometimes going in circles. Then in a moment there is the answer. More often than not it is via a dream that such comes. For in dreams the unconditioned mind arises to answer what the mind bogged down with day to day conditioned living cannot. Much of the writing is in direct relation to the images in the dreams, and the meaning within them. This is not easy, but it is not difficult either. The greatest difficulty is simply in setting myself aside and just letting it all flow like water in a stream....
