Depends what you mean by spiritual awakening.

I've had awesome epiphanies from dreams.

I once asked my mum in a lucid dream what she thought about being a character in my dream, and she replied something along the lines of "You can question reality as much as you like but you need to accept the reality of certain things to get things done", like food to feed your kids etc.

      And that was pretty cool.

      *My Opinion*

Every experience within the physical realm, astral realm, dream realm or any realm beyond is part of the whole in spiritual awakening. We are all gods who decided to go to sleep and dream of a life where we are separate and powerless.

When we dream, our true selves begin to come forth and what most humans will think is odd, we as our true selves feel is normal. It is only when our human logic kicks in that we deem something strange, but when we are experiencing that dream in the moment, we feel fulfilled.

Lucid dreaming is but a door way to the realms beyond. Once we learn to master one dimension, we can move onto the next.

We as beings of light do not need any technology to propel our consciousness to other places. We are a part of the universe and all of existence resides within us. Our dreams are our personal realms. We may seem to be out of control until a dream becomes lucid, but in actuality, we are just getting back to being ourselves when our physical body sleeps.

So in short, Yes. Yes a lucid dream is also a part of our spiritual awakening, but not whole in itself.

*Again, personal opinion based upon personal experience. Take it or leave it and have a great day!*
