      Tutorials in the Making...?

      Hello,

I was considering the idea of making a dream interpretation tutorial/essay but did not know whether anyone else was working on one. Now that I am sure no one else is, I thought it would be a good idea to create a thread displaying tutorials being worked upon.

      What do you think..?

Ok, maybe I might be able to help you. I don't really know much about the topic, but whatever

No no, I am confident over the topic.

My suggestion was to create a "Tutorials in the Making" thread.

      The illusive interpretation

The topic itself -Dream interpretation. IMHO is too vague, has to many variables and is too subjective to create an actual Tutorial.
Ideas, concepts, opinions are always welcome.

Linking many of the existing ideas together can only lead to a better understanding, I think.

Yes, I would like to create a tutorial based on psychological concepts as purported by Jung and other recent interpretative psychology. I really hope you did not think I wanted to make a "dream symbol dictionary" for interpretation, did you..?

So far I have been getting this same criticism. Perhaps I'll scrap the idea then.

As stated in my last sentence O'nus, I think that this would be helpful.
Over the years, there have been a lot of requests with concise methods of dream interpretations. This we have leaned on not promoting.
      Otherwise, have at it!

      You are confusing me.

You say we are not promoting dream interpretations but suggest I have a go at it..?

      As a sample idea for interpretation;
      - Evil has archetypal distinctions that are collectively similar across cultures. Things of dark color, pain, stress, pressure, etc. tend to represent this form of evil.
      - etc. etc. etc...

      ...?

      Tutorials and thoeries

With regards to research on dream interpretation, via this Research Forum, similar to most research, is advocated.
Tutorials on Dream interpretations are formatted in a way that = this is the way it is, advocated via The Dream Views Forums Site.

      Does that clarify anything?

This ▲ is similar to the color quiz that I had started a long time ago, is based on assumptions and the data. Together, I am trying to theorize one of many possible conclusions. I will not base a tutorial on my findings.

So, basically, avoid conjecturing and implement as much empiricism as possible?

I can see the problem here. However, with the method I use, it is rather empirical. I would be basing it on Jungian analysis with the removal of spiritual inclination.

      Sound good..?

That sounds awesome. I'm looking forward to it!
I must say, I read Jung's interpretation of dreams. I hope you will make it more clear than that book.
Free association is about all I took away from that read.
