      Cigarettes and recall

I do smoke cigarettes every now and then, and I find it very relaxing. I just smoked a cigarette and I'm about to do some reading and head off to sleep. But I was just curious, because I've never smoked before bed before what effect it's going to have on my dream recall. I've read various things from searching through the forums, that first, a nicotine patch helps with attaining lucidity(so probably doesn't effect recall), and quitting after a nicotine addiction has an increase in recall. Also generally, people who are against smoking always say (in every thread about tobacco) that smoking in general has a negative effect on lucidity, and recall, which is very biased and probably incorrect. And the people who smoke regularly and are addicted say it does not effect them at all. So I was going to partake a little experiment on my own, since I fit in neither of those two categories and see what happens if I smoke once at night, and see how my recall is affected, but problem is I was afraid that when I go to bed I'm going to think to myself "oh I'm never going to remember my dreams after this!" or the other way around, and the psychological aspect of it will ruin the results, so I figured the best way to eliminate that would be to try this as a group. Who's with me?
