While you are in the deep breathing stage, you are essentially in a trance. I realized that you can use this trance for some advantages, namely hypnosis. However I realized that severe self hypnosis can cause to much distortion in SP, in turn bringing you back to the first stage of relaxation/induction. For example, if you tell yourself that your body is lifting, and imagine the feeling of when your body is lifting, your body will move upward. It feels very strange because, you start to feel very tense because the SP will try to keep you bounded, but oddly you continue to move upward...but very restricted. Of course the end game to this example could either help you transition into a dream state, or leave you in a tense awkward position that you will have to relax yourself to return to a comfortable flat back position, which would loosen you up... but feel less aware of SP.

I also realized that your perception of your senses is heightened in this stage. So combining this with self hypnosis.... your open more doors.

A technique that I implement while using self hypnosis in WILD is to create this idea that, while counting down to a number, as you approach closer and closer to this number, you grow more relaxed and eventually tell yourself that you will enter a dream state. I know this is standard procedure for induction in hypnosis, but once you complete it, your thought become your subconscious.. This may sound absurd and strange, but let me explain myself, whilst giving you some homework:

< Recommended to start chant while settling into SP >

(Starting from the number 10. The style that we are accustomed is always chanted in 1st person. We need to change that, imagine that another person is talking, telling you what to perceive. The trick is that you create what you say, for the reason that eventually you have more options. Rather than a self audio hypnosis, you are arbitrary in your commands. I will give you a time line of things to discuss ( to yourself ) while counting down to 0.)

Note: Whenever you start chanting phrases, say the number first.

Numbers 10-6:

Relaxation plus focus. The Induction number needs to be simple and easy. If you are into V-WILD, you can start with a relaxing dream scene... don't get to carried away, as you will lose focus with your chant. For example, try imagining yourself lying in the grass watching a waterfall. Don't stress the clarity so much right now. If you rather not bother with a V-WILD, just use your breathing as a relaxation method, in coherence with the chant. Things to say would be very similar to hypnosis induction phrases, such as: "Relax...... allow yourself to leave all your tension and focus on your breathing" as well as "Allow all your thoughts to leave your mind as you prepare yourself for a lucid dream". I hate to tell you not to be creative, but I advise not to. Because if you take more than a second to think about what you are telling yourself, your cognitive perception will be thinking, rather than your subconscious telling you what to do. You get better as you learn not to think to hard about what to say, and increase your variety of phrases. Your first time you might feel that you are repeating yourself by rephrasing similar commands.

Numbers 5-1:

For V-WILD heightened sense, for normal WILD, slower breathing. If you are attempting to V-WILD, add some perception to the environment. For example to my waterfall analogy "You hear the water crashing upon the surface of the stream...". Or what other V-WILD you may be doing, just don't try to percieve more than the most pronounced aspects. If you are doing normal WILD, try not to pay TO MUCH attention to your breathing while you slow it down, as you will find yourself controlling it. A interesting thing that I tried was to slow your thoughts down. I believe it relaxes you because it creates the perception that you are falling asleep. I have no scientific evidence for it though . Also try phrases like "Waves of relaxation go through your body, starting from your toes and move up towards the tips of your fingers", as well as the generic "The feel your body slowly sinking into your bed". I've had bad experiences with weightlessness at this stage.... keep it simple for now.

Number 0: --> (Don't say 0, apply this to the end of the number 1.)

For V-WILD and WILD this is the transitioning into the dream state through hypnosis. The way I recommend it for V-WILD is having your subconscious say "When I say 0, I will leave you hear gazing at the waterfall. Reality check and see what is around you. I will start from 10....." For WILD, you may try "When I say 0, your body will become weightless, and immediatley you will realize that you are dreaming and do as you please. I will start from 10....".

You may be thinking "WTF... I JUST SPENT 10 MINUTES COUNTING" easy there my self created alter ego of random dream view's member, let me explain things. You counted all the way to 1 to prepare you for the transitioning hypnosis countdown. So in a sense there are two countdowns.

The first countdown approaches 0 but stops at 1.
The second countdown ends the mantra chanting and ends on 0.

If you think this is baloney don't bother. The V-WILD take on this worked for me, so for experimental purposes I brought this to dream views. I also have been able to shift my position in SP through hypnosis, without losing SP. I might make a tutorial for that as well, but in the mean time I encourage you to experiment with this basic WILD 'add-on'. Tell me how things go if you attempt it.
