Lightbulb Acquiring Hidden Knowledge In Lucid Dreams

      Greetings,

I recently found this site and am delighted that it has a research section. I'm going to be undertaking a research project in mid-May. The general idea is acquiring hidden knowledge in lucid dreams. I've read about how many well-known scientists, artists, and famous people have dreamed of their deaths, inventions, songs, etc.. Essentially, hidden knowledge.

Personally, I've had some dreams in this manner. One such dream is of the "Smiley Face Moon", which I dreamed the night prior to the sighting. The interesting thing to note about the dream is that at my geographical location in the world, the view of the spectacle was exactly like in the dream. Now, what would be interesting is to be able to actively acquire hidden knowledge through lucid dreaming, instead of randomly acquiring hidden knowledge by being a viewer through normal dreaming.

What I plan on doing is at least a sixty day trial of archiving and documenting my dreams. In the first thirty days, I'll be meditating one hour a day and exercising one hour a day. Also, in the video recordings I'll be including my sleep time for the day, quality of sleep, if I dreamed, feelings during the dream, diet for the day, if I encountered any Deja Vu for the day, and if alcohol etc. was involved. On the second month, I'll do the exact same thing as the first month, the only difference is that I will change my diet to raw vegetables, raw fruits, and grains. Hopefully, I won't lucid dream within the first thirty days, because I only want regular dreams for that part of the experiment. After the first thirty days, I will actively be pursuing to induce lucid dreams.

While I'm doing the experiment, I plan on taking melatonin. I've heard that it is good for inducing vivid dreams. How much melatonin would be a sufficient amount? I don't want to take too much. Would gel-cap be good for rate of release into the body? Also, have any other ideas I could use in this research or anything I've left out that would be interesting, or critical, to document?

Overall, it should be a pretty interesting experiment.

P.S. Any lucid dreamers ever try acquiring hidden knowledge in their dreams before?

I would advise you to take vitamins b6 and b12 they also help. The amount of melatonin depends on the person. Also the only hidden knowledge i attained is stuff about me or my life. I never had a dream that foretold something in the future but have had effects on my emotions for that day.

Interesting, I read about B6 and B12. Essentially, most of B6 is lost through the processing of foods. Almost everything we eat is processed. Additionally, the easiest way to acquire B12 is through meats. Would make sense why prominent vegans, such as Dr. McDougal, eat a meat meal at least once a year. Both prominently fortify the neuro-transmitters and memory, which some of the noticeable things they protect against is schizophrenia and psychosis.

Taking B6 the first month on, then adding in B12 on the second month on would be a good idea.

Anyone else have something to contribute or suggest?

P.S. I've had dreams that have had an effect on my emotions for a day too. One was caused by Deja Vu when I was in deep thought reading a book. While awake, I had a flash image of my brother with emotions associated with it. I was trying to figure out what it meant most of the day. Later on, I visited my mother, and my brother tried to get into a fight with me over something insane, which the same emotions from the flash resurfaced including the snapshot picture of him at the exact moment the real thing happened. That is why I'm including Deja Vu in the research. It is to reference for any linkage with dreams. Why I think there is a linkage with Deja Vu and dreams is because for some of the Deja Vu(s), I can remember pieces of the dreams connected with the experience and pin-point the time I had the associated dream.

You should read up about the Akashic Records. Try a search on the forum.

I've never heard of the Akshic Records until now.

From what I've personally discovered philosophically, if the universe is infinite, then everything that can possibly happen has already happened, yet at the same time it hasn't. Premonitions are perceived as predictions of the future, but when seen in this aspect they would be nothing more than memories. Essentially, there is no time. Additionally, if the universe is seen as nothing more than a pool of energy, then everything is linked together. Individuals able to tap into this pool through spiritual means etc. can acquire hidden knowledge/memories. After all, the hidden knowledge is a part of them and they are a part of the hidden knowledge.

Just found it interesting that I figured this out a long time ago philosophically through personal experience, yet come to find out there is actually a name for it. Would have saved me a lot of time by reading about it, but it would have been like jumping from "A" to "J" in understanding. Going from "A" to "B" to "C" to "D" etc. gives a true understanding.

Jeez, thanks for making me go off track.

Anyone else have any suggestions or contributions?

I think the universe & time are like soup. Just one big bowl of energy with alphabet spaghetti-Os. As Bob Marley says, " stir it up!" and see who or what runs into who.
Thought plus emotion creates attitude. Attitude plus action creates experience and experience determines reality
