I'm planning on attacking it full force tonight. I really want to get the advanced TOTM tonight, it's the last night to try...:panic:! I'm going to try 2 attempts tonight. I do have to get up early, but i'm trying to ignore that and go on with the attempts anyway. I'm feeling confident :D!

It's not the first time i've had alarm app troubles. That nick newport alarm app for pc has malfunctioned multiple times on my laptop. I would set a time for an alarm and then start the timer, and somehow the timer would just stop before it even gets to the alarm time. It just looks like i can't rely on any self-shutoff alarms that i have; I'll just have to rely on my own internal clock to wake me up during the night, which is what i was going to be working towards anyway. I guess this also means i missed July's TOTM. Guess i'll just have to change my plan for tonight's attempt.
Hello everyone! Haven't posted in a while...
Day 11:
Woke up at about 5:00, then went on my ipod for 10-15 minutes and fell asleep.
Day 12:
I was having a DILD, then I started to wake up and held still. I opened my eyes for a fraction of seconds and was in my bed, I closed my eyes and I felt SP set in and I 'rolled' back into the dream. Success :D
Ok, I'm starting to feel like I'm cheating. About 4 of my successes were not on purpose. Last night I WILDed, accidentally.
Day 13:
I woke up from a dream at about 7:00 am, then rolled to my side. In the previous dream I was thinking about working the next day. So, I tried to remember where I work in real life, but was extremely hard to do so. Then a SP wave sets in, just like that. I waited a few minutes unable to move, then after 2 or 3 minutes I stand up and do a RC, I'm dreaming :). It wasn't a long dream, but it was a WILD. Success
That's awesome Andres! Whether those WILD's were on purpose or not, you're definitely doing something right. :D Maybe i'll get one tonight. I've been waking up after the sun's already up, and i just can't seem to WILD after the sun's up. So i need to start waking up around 4:30 or 5 AM to get a WILD. I really want one. Why do i allow my sleepiness to get the best of me!?

Same thing happens to me, since it's summer and the sun is already up at 6:00 I gotta wake up at like 4:30 just to attempt. I hope my lucky WILDs/DEILDs keep coming x)!
Day 5:
Success! I had my first nap WILD, and it was by accident. :D This is my second day of classes and i had my first class at 8 am so i got up this morning at 6:45 am. I was really sleepy by the time i got home so i laid down to take a nap. I dozed off a couple of times and when i woke up again, i decided to go back to sleep. All of a sudden a started to feel sp. The sp wasn't strong but the tinnitus that came with it was. I tried to do a VILD but it didn't work out, i still ended up in my bedroom once inside the dream. The dream was really unstable, i kept having to rub my hands together and doing nose pinch rc's. Anyway, i finally got a successful nap WILD! Since this happened during the day, maybe i'll get a success tonight too.
Day 6: Failure
Notes: Alarm instantiated DEILD. It would have worked wonderfully well, if not for the fact that the alarm looped. =/

Hey guys, I'm reading 'Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming' and I read about a technique which relaxes your body. It is called the 61 Point Relaxation Technique. It is a well known technique, so I'm guessing you guys know what I'm talking about. I used it last night to fall asleep and worked like a charm. And I'm thinking of using it tonight to WILD, has anyone tried it with WBTB in order to WILD before?
I think i tried it with WILD before in the past, but i can't remember if it worked for me or not. I think I only used about 30 or so points, but i imagine it would work better with all 61. I love that book, it really helped me to learn alot about lucid dreaming.
As a side note, school is really killing my lding right now. I hate my early morning days!!!:mad:
Day 6:
I tried to take a nap after classes again, but i only got about 5 minutes asleep because something woke me up. It was hard to sleep with my miniature dachshund sleeping on my lap. Anyway, I had 2 episodes of sp right next to each other, both with Ellie still sleeping on my lap. I had almost lost consciousness but then i felt like there was something demonic in the room. I then felt someone had their knees mashing into my stomach and there fists mashing into my chest. I soon as i realized it was sp; I wasn't worried anymore, I just went along for the ride. I had experienced something like this before, but never with so much pressure. The pressure was so great that i could consider it a little painful. I didn't get into a dream after that sp, but i came out of it instead. After getting comfortable again, sp hit me again. This time i felt alot of pressure on my head, mostly on my bottom jaw. It was just like the other sp episode; the pressure was almost painful (it felt like my jaw was going to get dislocated). Then i heard a woman talking to me in japanese, she said "Watashi wa..." meaning, she started to say something about herself, but i don't remember what it was. Then I started to hear music. It was like a mix of haunted house, egyptian, and japanese music all together. It sounded really good, and then the woman i heard started singing a verse in japanese, but i couldn't understand it. Then my alarm brought me out of sp. The entire time all of this was going on, i could feel the pressure on my head and all i could see was darkness. This was a very interesting sp experience. I know that all of the japanese stuff came from me recently getting back into learning japanese, but i didn't think sp could be so complex. The song i heard was a song i had never heard before, i guess my mind made it up on the fly.
Anyway, i can't count this as a success, but i think it's progress. The day's not over yet, maybe i'll turn day 6 into a success tonight. :D

I had a little success this morning.
I woke up from a dream and rolled to my side, suddenly SP set in, just like that.
I waited about 30 seconds, then stood up and did a RC, I was dreaming, sadly about 10 seconds after, I woke up.

It's funny that this time that i got to sp and my last successful WILD attempt was when i least expected it. I thought, "I'm never going to get to sp. :(" As soon as that thought crossed my mind, sp hit me. :P

That's happened to me too! In fact, this morning after I woke up from my WILD I thought 'Damn, how am I gonna get SP again', and it actually set in again, except this time I couldn't make the transition.
Day 15:
Another success :D.
I woke up after a dream at about 6:00. In fact, I woke up too much. I had trouble going back to sleep, but in the process I kept reminded myself I would remember to realize I was dreaming (I'm starting to try MILD).
At about 6:45 I knew my chances of getting a sudden SP wave were high. However, I dozed off and had a short non-lucid dream.
I woke up from this dream and SP hit me. I couldn't make the transition yet because I could hear my dad talking (either he was really talking, or just HH). It was hard to stay in SP without making the transition, or losing SP. My whole body started shaking after 3 minutes of holding the SP. My teeth where chattering uncontrollably. Suddenly my dad stops talking and I'm able to make the transition. It was a fairly long WILD, I was happy with the results :).
Wow! Congrats again! You seem to be getting proficient at WILDing now.
I have to get up early on Friday, but this Saturday and Sunday, i'll get to sleep as late as i want. So this weekend will be a perfect time for me to get some good WILD attempts. I probably could have had a good WILD last night, but i fell asleep trying to figure out what i wanted to do if i was successful with my WILD. I never can make up my mind on my ld goals. :P

I know what you mean by not being able to know what to do in your LD's :P.
During my WILD this morning I wasn't sure of what I wanted to do, so I just started flying around and then decided I would go to Bora Bora, but then I had the urge to visit my friend who is into lucid dreaming to see if we could dream share. Me and my friend had a long conversation, but I haven't talked to him today to see if it was a shared dream or not XP
I will be attempting WILD tonight (I hope). I will report my results tomorrow

Day 16:
I woke up at 4:30, stayed up until 5:00, went back to sleep. I had a chain of short dreams, and then the SP wave hit me. I thought I was ready to get out of my dream bed, but when I opened my eyes they opened IRL life too
Day 17:
Double Success
I woke up at 4:30, just like yesterday, stayed up until 5 and went back to bed. I decided what I would like to do in my next lucid dream, and thought about it a couple of times.
Just as I expected, right before falling asleep, SP hit me and I was able to transition to the dream just by getting out of bed, my dream bed.
When the WILD ended, I DEILDed back into the dream. :shadewink:
Nice Andres! Your success rate is looking good. College is putting a hurt'n on my WILD attempts. The stress is kicking my butt right now. I'm starting to get back into the flow though. I had a nasty toothache the past two nights which is extremely distracting during a WILD attempt. It's hard to go inward with your focus while the pain is pulling it outward. Anyway, maybe i'll get a chance tonight; I have to get up early, so if not tonight, maybe the day after.
I already have a ld goal in mind, so if i'm successful; i'll report back! If my goal works out like it's supposed to, it should increase my overall ld rate...I hope. :D
Thank you Grim! I think I found what works for me :D! That is, wake up several hours into my sleep, stay awake for half an hour at least, then go back to sleep. It's simple enough :)
Yeah school makes it a little hard too for me, I gotta wake up earlier to write on my journal, and the alarm in the morning doesn't let me recall as many dreams as I could without the alarm. Well, I hope your goal works out for you, good luck ;)
Day 18:
Failure this time. Same procedure as always, woke up at 4:30 and stayed up until 5. Went back to sleep at 5. This time I fell asleep without noticing SP. Maybe I should vary the time in which I wake up. Maybe 5 am, or 5:30, dunno
