Thread: Sort of a reserch project.

I don't think that this is a "research project" but it is a project about Lucid dreams. It is really simple. I will just ask people questions about Lucid dreaming. Like "have you heard of lucid dreams' ' would you like to learn Lucid dreaming' " do you think it is satanic or magic" vareous stuff like that. I will put my findings in groups like over all participents, black, white, asian, hispanic, male, female, age groups, things like that.

I would like to get an ok from who ever I need to and would like to know if any one would like to help.

It seems more like a [POLL] question to me.
But if you were to go in depth enough with the questions and validate the answers into catagories like you mentioned, then it could give some insight into lucid dreaming thought patterns. Dreamers general insight on specific topics and the like.

1.Why don't you compile a list of questions first - then post them.
I think satanic vs.magic is all opion based and speculative. And I don't know what compelling data would be derived from those questions.

If you have a problem with this post then you really did not have to make any comment. You are just tring to start an argument. Just don't say rude comments like that, because it might cause me to loose my temper, and I really don't want that to happen.

I was just wondering, sitboy, what the overall objective of this survey is. Will the questions be asked here at Dreamviews or will you be asking people elsewhere because you might get a better consensus of the general public if you did the survey outside of this particular special interest group. Now if you are trying to find out how knowledgeable the everyday Dreamviews member is then this would definitely be a good place to post the survey. Good luck with it.

With those type of questions you ask Merckantium has a good point. To ask those questions in this forum would not be too productive. For example;

Do you know what Lucid dreaming is?[/b]

= Well this is a good chance why they came to this forum. To find out. Which renders the question useless.
The same goes for some of your other questions.

What would be nice to see is your original idea about catagorizing differant cultures & races. This could lead to some insight into LDing patterns.
Create somthing like a questionare
Their age - Race - Male/female - weight. See if we can distiguish any patterns evolving.

Then ask questions relevant to lucid dreaming.
How long have you been Lucid dreaming?
How did you find out about " "
What method do you use most often to " "
How many dreams do you remember per night on average?
Do you believe lucid dreaming to be -what?
ETC.

This would not be on the fourm, I should have made that a clearer, sorry. I would ask people in the public, and if i could get other people on this fourm to help, then region could also be a factor. By finding out what races, ages, sexs, and what locations know the least about lucid dreaming then we could target those groups, thus having the population of Lucid dreamers grow and grow!

we would also be able to see what races, sexs, blood types ec.t that have natural lucid dreams. We could even look into things like hair color and eye color.

Height, weight, and body type could also be factors. You could also include a very brief personality type question, i.e. which one of these descriptions best fits you type of thing. I'll try to think of other factors. Not a bad idea sitboy.

Edit: I'm sure you could also find some questionaires online that you could use. I'd suggest something like the personality profiles some sites have, but you may need to do some editing. You know, to avoid copyright laws etc.
