      I like it

I guess I think in both sometimes, but only out of necessity, like here in the US, gas comes in gallons, so I think of gas and milk in gallons. But if you put a gallon of gas into a bowl, I would estimate it to be 4 litres, not a gallon.

What is a stone converted to kilos?

Google says 1 stone = 6.35029318 kilograms. You can use Google to convert units just type for example 10 kg in stones or 10 feet in metres

I suspect there's a dash of American anti-intellectualism involved as well--them metric words is so high-falutin, they almost sound French.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

The only good thing to the Imperial system is that you can use it for unfunny ambiguity puns.

"Hospitals were sued by seven foot doctors."

Though personally I'd find it funnier if "dick" was a unit of length, but a disproportionally large one. Say 21 cm. Generations of men would cry when reading up on physics.

      Good times.

Actually as far as I know we (in England) use the metric system more than the americans, We have our fuel in litres and our weather reports in celcius, I'd say that i can use both Imperial and Metric systems equally as well but I suppose I'm slightly better at metric and use it much more often.
