Are there an infinite number of atoms (or building blocks of matter) or are there an infinite number of different ways to view the same atom (or universe)?

No correlation; yes to both questions.

You're the second to say that in the last couple of days.. I really wish I could contribute to this thread more often, but I am at work, and things are actually happening today.
I will frequent this thread as much as possible today.

How do you feel about Michael Talbot's ideas concerning a holographic universe?

I didn't mean to cause you to research. I'm sorry. *blush*
I could have probably summed it up for you.

The holographic universe theory is not Michel Talbot's( he just wrote the book) its David Bohm and Karl Pribram's theory originally. The idea that the universe is a giant hologram and that matter and consciousness are a unity much like space-time is an interesting idea but the examples used in the book to support this theory were ridiculous new-age speculations and were entirely unconvincing. Many of the hypothesis in the book just explain supernatural phenomena (which is of no interest to me) and only every once in awhile explains why this theory is relevant to quantum physics but then again I haven't read the book in years so I might be forgetting some aspects.

Also there are no mathematics backing this theory up. Anyway Bohm wrote a book called Wholeness and the Implicate Order which is a far superior book and touches upon some of the ideas discussed in the Holographic Universe.

I will admit that I haven't read the whole book. I hope that isn't too shameful to say, since I brought it up. I appreciate the insight into it, Crow.
I agree with the VERY GENERAL idea that it is quite possible that the universe is not at all as we perceive. Our brains interpret light waves, and vibrations, and signals sent by our left toe, but our view of reality is uncontrollably and infinitely filtered through this fact.
Perhaps all of the actions in the universe are on an atomic scale, and the repercussions of these actions, as a chain reaction, are what create(s)(d) the universe as we know it. Perhaps spacial coordinates are similar to the different frequencies of a wave, and when we are "located" in a particular place, we merely exibit the same frequency as the matter that is also "located" in that place.
I'm not debating any of that, so all of you who just got hardons can forget it.
They are nothing more than thoughts.

InvisableWoman: There are two villages. In one village everyone tells the truth no matter what and in another adjacent village everyone tells lies no matter what. You are standing at the crossroads that lead to the two villages but you have no way of knowing which village contains the liars and which village contains the honest ones. Two people, one from each village, walk down the road towards you. In order to find out which village either of them came from you can only ask ONE of them ONE question. What is the one question that you ask to find out which village they come from?

I played the one where you say 'there is a fork in the road, a liar and a guy that tells the truth is there. One fork in the road is bad and one is good. You can only ask one question to find out which is good. What do you ask?' Same difference really.

OOPS: i didnt read the entire post you made :/ my mistake their exactly the same.

If you were the other guy, which way would you tell me to go?

      truth would point bad way
Liar would lie about being the other person and point the wrong way

I could have probably summed it up for you.
I did ask you to challenge me. No harm in reading.

How do you feel about ideas concerning a holographic universe?
I should feel in concordance with them. It seems the crux of Bohm's conclusion is how, ultimately,
. . . objective reality does not exist, that despite its apparent solidity the universe is at heart a phantasm, a gigantic and splendidly detailed hologram.
How can I deny an idea which prompts physicists to burst into poets?

      Also, looking back

Are there an infinite number of atoms (or building blocks of matter) or are there an infinite number of different ways to view the same atom (or universe)?
I can only really answer that I find the two questions uncorrelated. I'm just a little person, so unless penetrated by some omniscient being, I can't really know about the infinity of atoms. (Right?) Yes was just my initial response.

Do 10 full planche pushups and post your proof here in video format. Also, post reference pictures or/and give a proof that this person doing these pushups is actually you.

      Have fun
Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.

Common misbelief. Plance pushups is all about core strength, you don't need to look a bodybuilder to do them and you cannot do them only by playing with weights.

      random clip from YouTube

Those are different though ( harder ones ) a combination of planche with 90 degree
