Five new books, today! Hell yes....

Today, I went into two bookstores....and got five new book, which I just can't wait to get to reading....

      A)Battlefield Earth- L Ron Hubbard
      B)Alvin Journeyman- Orson Scott Card
      C)Heartfire-Orson scott card
D)Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency- Douglas Adams.
      E)Darwin's Radio- Greg Bear

Well, I wanted to purchuse a few more books, but I couldn't, due to a lack of funds.....But can one ever really have enough books, or enough money to buy them? In my case, I think not...

Anyway, I was just excited about my new, lovely books. Have a great day, and may you read a great book!

Personally I liked Darwin's Radio. It was nice.

I need to get some more books. I have read all of mine. I have read 3 times "The Cat Who Walks Through Walls". In front of me I have my favorite book Kushiel's Dart. I love it to bits and pieces. I need a variety. I guess when I have money.

I get all my books for free off of the IRC channel #bookz (on Undernet). The quality is really good, and out of the 40 books I've downloaded from there so far, only one has had some weird mess ups in it (but it's still readable). Takes a while for new books to emerge on it but I've never had problems with not being able to find books there.

Of course they're electronic, so I just put them on my Palm and read them like that at night. It's good 'cause I never lose my place in the book now.

D)Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency- Douglas Adams. [/b]
Got this book off #bookz - I loved it. It's witty, hilarious and actually makes sense. It starts off a bit slow, though... Douglas Adams was a great author.

Please let me know how Hubbard's novel was -- it's no secret that the movie adaptation starring John Travolta was garbage.

I wouldn't mind reading that one of Bear's, sounds interesting. Let me know how that one was too!

My Father agrees that the movie sucked, but said the book was a staple in science fiction literature. I'll let you know, when I get through it....Oh I can't wait! The AP Biology teacher suggested Darwin's Radio-Greg Bear to me, and I finally remembered to pick it up..

Is that book good? I'm sure it is.....Robert Heinlan is a frickin' genius. I just read " Stranger in a Strange Land" and "Starship Troopers". Previous to those, I read "Time Enough for Love". I've been wanting to read "The Cat Who Walks Through Walls".
