Alright guys, I'm restarting the Quote a Song Lyric thread, but with a few new rules to give it more of a direction:
I'll start the topic by posting a song lyric, then the next person has to come up with another song lyric that somehow connects to the song lyric before it.
The relation doesn't have to be complicated or deep if you don't want it to be. For example, I could post lyrics from "Take the Money and Run" by Steve Miller Band, and the next persoon could quote Pink Floyd's "Money".
The connection could range from the general topic to a specific couple of words within the lyric, it doesn't matter. (Well, so long as the connection is obvious, or if you can explain it)
Keep all lyrics down to TWO TO FOUR LINES.
That's a biggie--last time this thread was going, people were posting whole songs, which made the thread very difficult to read. I know that you've probably got some really kick-arse lyrics that just aren't the same unless you post the whole song, but the fact is, after four or five lines, it gets really annoying to read.
So. TWO TO FOUR LINES. Please.
When quoting the lyric, put the lyric in this format:
"<The song's lyrics go here>"
-<Band's name goes here>
Remeber the quotation marks and the hyphen before the band name, just for the sake of making things easier to read.
Alright, let's get started:
"Goodmornin' Da, oh I'm in jail.
I don't need you to try for bail.
If I know Ma, she'll scream and wail,
so just lock me up and throw away the keys."
-The Tossers
