Nyup nyup OOMP! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Calvin: "LET GO OF ME, YOU MALEVOLENT, MURDEROUS MORON!!" Hobbes: "It's MORNING! Now we can DO stuff again!" "C'mon! Whee!" Calvin: "It's hard to be mad at someone who misses you while you're asleep." Calvin [as Spaceman Spiff]: "The fearless Spaceman Spiff, interplanetary explorer extraordinaire, gazes across the forbidding landscape of an uncharted planet!" "What dangers lie ahead for our hero? What horrible aliens inhabit this world?" "What strange adventures await the intrepid Spiff? What bizarre occurrence will our hero be the first to witness?" "The suspense!" "...Our hero chucks a few rocks.." ..sigh... Hobbes: "If you couldn't FIND any weirdness, maybe we'll just have to MAKE some!" Calvin: "Now yer talkin'!" Dangit, but I do love Calvin and Hobbes. Bill Watterson somehow managed to capture the very essence of a child's near-infinite imagination, and perfectly portray it in comic strip form. Calvin and Hobbes were my role models as I grew up, reading the books. I even had a stuffed lion, which I treated similar to Hobbes, at one time. To the good ol' days!
