Imagining some new shizz

Can you think up, or visulaize something you've never seen? Why can this not be done? Is it because We only know the 7 color spectrum? The other night I layed in bed looking at the inside of my eyelids, and wondered...what color is that, not black, not brown... Which led me to ask, and this may relate to dimensions as well- again- Can you think up, or visulaize something you've never seen? IE-colors -dimensions And a related question may be (Though I contradict myself, and have great faith in science), "If we can't think up new things like those mentioned above, how did we ever come to understand our scientific universe, and think up systems we'd never "seen". Just some things to get your mind juices flowing, I'd like to see if people think like me and my strange head:p

Not dimensions... I have no idea what something that's four dimensional is supposed to be. I don't know if we're capable of visualizing a color we've never seen. I can visualize an animal I've never seen but that's different because it'd just be taking random bits off of other animals and putting them together. However I do think we can think about things we've never considered before, which pertains to your science point.

We can create new shapes using other shapes that we know but we can't create a new colour because we have never experienced it.

There are other colours out there, it's just we can't see them because we can't seen in ultraviolet or infrared which (I think) is where the colours are hidden in the spectrum.
