Every freedom that he claims gets in the way of the nation's security he is attempting to take away. The patriot act is an unpatriotic massacre of the constitution; it takes away our privacy. He even wants wicca's out of the army, or at least to stop their practices. Wow... way to go Bush! Next thing you know, they will take away the right for jew's in the army to celebrate hannukah, or dismiss atheist's from the army because they don't believe in anything. But back to the first link- HOLY CRAP, what a god damn moron he is for justifying torture and then retracting it when the public becomes aware of it. He kinda reminds me of Hitler. We have gone to war over government's that have justified torture because they will believe it will help stop terrorism. If Bush attempts to keep his newly created dictatorship for another 4 years, you can kiss your right to eat, sleep, or even go to the bathroom without being watched goodbye. Maybe he'll even hit the extreme by pulling out the national guard and searching everybody's home 1 by 1. To hell with Bush, and to hell with political parties. The problem with becoming president in this country is that you have to have a lot of money that you probably didn't earn in the first, and we all know that most rich people are assholes to begin with. What we need is somebody who makes $20,000 a year, somebody who has been screwed by the government, volunteered for war and NOT skipped out on it, somebody's who motto is something like "Make love, not war", somebody who actually has social skills and knows how to negotiate without attatching an underlying message in their speech that says "We're gonna bomb the hell outta you because you're different." If this continues, I do believe that a civil war will erupt, but to what extent I do not know. *edit* I remember something else he said that pisses me off- "There ought to be limits to freedom."

Yes I actually did read most of what he wrote, which is what I have been always expected to happen. coincidence? There is some town on the east coast that wants to succede from the state that they're in right now. In texas, about 75 people are going to take an armed standoff if they come to arrest the guy who had a gun on his holster in public.

This may be a little off topic but in the game Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, it takes place not far in the future and there is a group of people called the Patriots and follow what the PATRIOT act Bush released almost exactly. They are using consorship to fight the flow of information they don't want. They go on about how that the president really has no control.. Just a "pawn in a game" and the "Patriots" make all the decisions. This is also true in the US.. I'm not sure if its total rule, but I have read in magazines how there really are people who make most of the presidents decisions for them and are getting closer and closer to taking away democracy in America every election. It may just be BS, but the way things have gone in the world lately I think that its true

Now Bush seems to think that he can go against the Geneva conventions in a war against terror. He also took his torture claims to court and spilled out a bunch of technical blubbering bullshit apparantly now giving him the right to do such things. WOW... Those people can be avoided, if we expose them for the war criminals they are. Many people like Bush because they believe he is doing a good job, probably because he invaded afghanistan after we were attacked. Now think about this for a moment... what kind of person wouldn't go into afghanistan? I bet if we put a furby into office he would still do that, and I'm willing to be he wouldn't invade Iraq for no reason or increase the national debt to an ungodly amount. If we are going to have a president, then he needs to be above the ordinary citizen, he needs to be able to run a country better than anybody else can. He is done the worst out of any president who has ever lived. Aside from Bush invading Afghanistan, what other positives things has he done? I've spent the longest time racking my brain on what that could possibly be... Maybe it's breaking the Geneva Conventions? no... Maybe it's making millions of americans lose their jobs? no that has to be wrong... Maybe it's that he was the first president to have the United States removed from the humans rights commission? I don't think it can be. He has damaged the United States image far too greatly. He damages our image by showing that we are war mongers (Iraq), we break rules by using loop holes that are non-existant (torture), and we are incredibly ignorant (everything else I didn't mention). If he gets reelected, I'm willing to bet there will be mass riots and it will be a sign of the apocolypse ( ), either that or he will cause the apocolypse with ww3. If Bush was running another country right now, he would have sent troops in to make way for democracy (we are a republic, with our rights slowly being taken away).
