Drunk experiment to proove a point.

Read this entire post i just wrote, carefully. Don't skip over any parts. It's an experiment about drunken typing. Just read. I think that turning off the tv might make this post easier to Focus on. This post will be long maybe. Please try to read it all at least once. you may even find that You want to read it twice. it's pretty interesting... XD

I was chatting tonight in the DV chat with oneironaut_jeff. I knew a guy named jeff who put Ranch dressing on his pizza. He was a fan of eating meat. Mostly lamb or Cow. Boy could he slam down some food though. He was a big boy. jeff south was his name. funny cause if you ask me, jeff sounds like West. anyway, he was kind of fat. pizza with Ranch dressing couldn't have helped. his father works a on a Farm. He worked hard. he never saddled for anything less than the best of the West. pun not intended.

this is starting to be a story that is Long. Face da animal facts though, despite how senseless this is, You enjoy reading this of Course. Back to riding about the original topic. Jeff. He's not from the west."Earn" your own money by starting a business, he'd say with a Hoarse voice. All that smoking is gonna land him in a hearse one day. that's what happens when You see the Capital. Letters to the capital never actually reach the president. he ignores them with no Remorse of Course. hey that Rhymed. Rhyming is always a Good idea.

Well I have a task for you. in your reply, I want you to think of an animal. The first animal that comes to your mind. I want you to really help me with this experiment. please try to be serious. By instinct the first animal that comes to your mind, remember it and write it down. Choose the animal that seems to come to your mind naturally, and go with that one. I'm just curious. Please be serious.

Are we supposed to say "horse" because of all the hints of ranches and such?

Well, since you keep hinting at "horse", I guess I'll say "horse", of course?

I wouldn't call it mind manipulation as much as obvious hints and references to horses.

I think this works better when you Say it to someone, so you can't read back and be all critical. Derren Brown is king is this kind of stuff, and can Really make people "randomly" think about whatever he puts in their mind.

Yep, you missed a lot of them. The following is the same post, with all of the suggestions highlighted. Neruo, you're right, this thing pretty much only works in spoken words, I was just trying to see if it can be done with writting. I'm sure it can, I'm just bad at it. Then again, I was a bit drunk. XD

I don't get some of the "suggestions" you pointed out. Maybe they're above me?

"Focus on. This post", "You want to read it twice", "You enjoy reading this", "You see the Capital. Letters."

And this is only pointing out the obvious: "Rhyming is always a Good idea."

They probably are a little more complex than you'd expect if you haven't studied psychology and/or NLP.

      Focus on. This Post
= read that without the period. "Focus on this post" is simply telling you to...focus on the post. People skim over posts, and suggestions wont work if they do. Same with telling them to read it twice, or that they enjoy reading this. Embedded suggestions work with the subconscious mind. That's why it works better when it's spoken.

The "You see the capital letters" is trying to get you to notice all of the letters that are capitalized, as I capitalized most of the embedded suggestions. With the subconscious, you have to say very simple commands. It works like a child. like if I'm talking, and hidden in the sentence is the phrase "you feel good" then you may start to feel good. Obviously it's not that easy, but that's at least a small part of the theory in embedded suggestion.

I thought this was extremely good, though i'd have to admit...it would have probably been far more effective if said to someone.

Interesting. Maybe this is how Uri Geller makes people draw something on a paper, and then he can guess what it is?

I always read the first x replies in a topic, and meh, you explained how it worked before I could reply. I didn't sit down and think of animal - or rather, let it come to me - yet.

I thought of a tiger. Somehow my mind seems to always work very different from the norm . I guess that's why psychologist hate me and vice versa; Their knowledge and applications thereof fail to analyse and predict my unimaginable mind

PS: Oneironaught; The watch in your sig is SO TOTALLY a watch in a dream. Exactly the way a dream would screw up the sight of a watch

not to overestimate the Value of our Concrete Knowledge;"Common sense"/Rationality,
for doing so would make us Blind for the unimaginable, unparalleled Capacity of and Wisdom contained within our Felt Knowledge;Subconscious Intuition.
