The "Padfoot Incident": Follow Up

For those who didn't already know, padfoot was a 9-year-old kid who came to this forum lying about his age. He was [opinon]pretty stupid[/opinon] and was suspended because he was in violation of the COPPA act. I think it's safe to post this now because the chances of him getting back here are highly unlikely. Anyway, he's recently been harrasing ld4all forums. This is just a guess from me, but I think padfoot has more accounts at LD4all than the padfoot- accounts. Because it is especially one username there who reminds me about padfoot. (Same avatar, same attitude, same language, etc.) I think it will be easy to guess wich LD4all accounts who actually belongs to padfoot who was here. EDIT: I don't think padfoot want to be annoying in any way; he just need social maturity.

Why are we trying to convince them we're good? Anyway, I was thinking of that. The pattern seems to be "get banned from Dreamviews, go to ld4all". Maybe an inter-forum ban list or something? Just an idea.

it doesn't matter who looks better or who is more tolerant of people such as padfoot. we both offer lucid dreaming to the people who search for it. it's not a competition... if they want to be known for taking the people who couldn't control themselves on our forum... more power to them but that doesn't make their info on LDing any better or ours any worse.

Which is what really annoys me. Just because of arseholes coming and buggering the forum doesn't mean that we are any better or worse than the others. (obviously this isn't counting the fact Dream Views rules ) We have the same information, and the few people who act like twats here will not change that.

there are probably a lot of people pretendin to be bigger than their normal age its jus that if they dont follow the rules they should be banned from this site and something else well im being to harsh or their should be vote about what should happen to these people.

A couple of things to keep in mind: 1. Padfoot never tried to act older than her was or such, he stated he was nine several times 2. He kept his act up at Ld4all, just as he did here Conclusion: It might just be some asshole with nothing to do with his time but piss people off. In that case, that is pretty damn funny...and annoying I'm bipolar...

My stance on the "age" is basically: Until you are 13, I don't care what reasons you have, you can't post here. Feel free to read though.

Reading is a problem for people young though. My little brother is nine and i don't see him getting on dreamviews and at age nine and doing what padfoot did. I believe whoever it was and however old they were they should still have gotten banned for immaturity. Reading what we write at that age is still a problem, i see a 9 year old reading what we write, which sometimes can be a little to extreme for a nine year old, than writing something that he shouldn't.

I don't know how many people are aware that techboy spoke up and said he was under 13 too. That raised an important issue which I discussed with lowercase. I believe that age really doesn't matter when it comes to stuff like this. Lowercase argue at first that perhaps the age should be 15, instead of 13. I told him that if that happened we would loose valueable members such as Kaniaz, Techboy, Ffx, and a lot of other members that are an intregral part of the community. I wish that people that contribute to the place, instead of harming it, were able to stay despite of their age. As long as they act mature and do their part in making this a better place, then by all means let them stay. People like padfoot, whether 9 or 30 should still be banned because of their destructive and unproductive attitude. The only issue would be that some topics might not be appropiate for people their age, and it will have to be under their discretion to ignore them.

I've kinda got something to tell u. When I joined I think it was the 15th of june and I said I was over 13 when it was actually my birthday on the 26th so I'm 13 now... is that alright? again I say I'm sorry but I already discussed this with I think it was seeker and he said it was ok...
