Heh, I was kidding anyways. I wanted to see if I received any inflammatory responses. You've all failed me. Currently finishing San Andreas right now... and I'm nuts at Halo 3.

Dude, try and see if you can find a zombie in it, and a man who looks like van hellsing, they're easter eggs in the game that you can find. Along with bodybags in the desert. (I don't hate games)

I'd say the family of that person would be pretty rational if they were against video games, eh?

You know there have been people that have died over an addiction to a video game, right? I'd say the family of that person would be pretty rational if they were against video games, eh? That's like banning ropes because someone hung themselves. There is nothing inherently harmful in a video game - everything has the potential to be bad, if not used in moderation. You shouldn't use a few extreme cases of misuse to fan the flames of fear caused by the technological gap between our generation and older ones.

My goal isn't to fan the flames, more so to put video game addictions in the spot light and make people realize they are a lot more serious then most take them to be. That happens to include citing a few extreme cases that, if nothing is done to increase awareness of addiction, could be seen more often.

An admirable goal, but you must be very careful not to imply that video games themselves are inherently harmful. Some people are more prone to addictive behavioral patterns than others, and this can manifest itself in countless ways - food, video games, drugs, the internet itself, etc. etc. These addictions are certainly something we should try to help them deal with, but we really shouldn't attribute a negative stigma to the objects of addiction unless they are known to cause addiction in most 'normal' people (like hard drugs). Video games themselves are just... interactive videos. There's really nothing to campaign against there.
