Try this tutorial, I've used it a time or three. It's for the GIMP, but you can pretty easily apply it to other layer-capable image editors. |

Can someone give me some help with pictures?
How do you all make signitures? It's kind of hard to me.

Why do all these tutorials always have to follow up to an impossible tool?

There's one ultimate tool: the selection tool.
Everything else is best done through layer properties, effects, filters and so on with a selected area.
If you start drawing something by hand with the pencil tool or start creating curves with the pen tool, you've gone too far from design into illustration.
