My guess is that people think he's hot because he is a body builder with rock star hair and a soap actor face. Some marketing genius apparently put three common characteristics women love into one man in order to triple the effect.

Btw anyone remember the bachelorette where the girl had a BIG SECRET...

and it turned out to be she dated Fabio and the guy flipped out! Lol wtf was that about. Does Fabio have an STD? Or was he worried he woudln't measure up lol.

I saw that!!! It was the very last moment of Average Joe II, and it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen on television. The contestants on that show were all going after some former Miss America contestant or something. They went through like two and a half months of outrageous bullshit to try to win that woman. They were at each other's throats constantly, guys acted like they thought they were about to have some major relationship only to end up completely devastated, bizarre dirty tricks were played all the time, and all kinds of stuff happened. Then, after weeks and weeks of that madness, the woman finally picked the winner. She told him she had a big secret which was that she used to date Fabio. The guy was like, "I just can't deal with that. I'm out of here." It was such a WTF moment, and I laughed so hard about it. It reminded me of that joke that lasts about twenty minutes and at the end the person gets hit by a car and the moral of the story is, "Look both ways before you cross the street."

I still don't get why he couldn't have handled it. I remembers seeing the show and being so disappointed because I didn't see what the big deal was.

And Fabio - never saw the big deal about him either. Maybe you have to be older for that. :whyme:

Honestly I don't think he's very good looking, he's got a big nose and small lips and small eyes...the long hair looks bad...but his body is impecable...

The guy said he thought Fabio was a ridiculous romance novel cover model and said he could not handle being with that woman while knowing she had been involved with somebody so ridiculous. I wouldn't see it that way, but he said he did. I think the show probably paid him to say that and split because it made for such a shocking and hilarious ending to a reality show.
