Thread: Does senseless need, like, to be less senseless?

Okay, this view is shared by more people than just me.

Senseless Banter is starting, if not has, reached a level of just being "spam with crap". Even banter topics need a topic. Starting a topic with, well, no or little content to discuss (is just spam really)

Discuss. Yeah.

P.S: Why not rename the forum to "banter"? hey i like that idea. because i made it.

Well i think that there should be like a bar where you define how senseless the banteriffic post is. Like this would be a two, and that docthory would be a 9. Maybe even a 10.

if ppl want to spam some shit, why not just let them? Senseless is the place to be and if you wanna be serious go to the lounge or somewhere else. thats my opinion.

Because pages upon pages of crap waste bandwidth and drive space, yet give nothing in the way of usefullness.

Here's what I think: people should be as senseless as they want to, so long as they don't overpost.. you know, like as long as they don't create 10 new threads in senseless a day or something. But I seriously don't think that anyone should be told to have their posts in this section be more meaningful. That's crap.

Most of the threads here promote discussion that is somewhat intelligent and coherent. The new ones that are sprouting up are not. Example.

Good: "Why do people where shoes inside their houses"
Bad: "<insert space> "

Moderators, WerBurN. Whoever is a moderator in senseless is suspciously endowed with, you guessed it, the position of moderating senseless .

As you can see from the examples above, the only way to cross the line would be to do it on purpose. It can hardly be an "accident", so all would be good.

Yeah...its true. But in my defense I spend more time in every other thread. Meaning I have even less of a life. But in 2 weeks when I move back to cali, there will be a lott less of me posting meaning....no time for senseless.

I was really hoping people could actually maturely discuss this, and I placed it in Senseless Banter for the sole reason of it being related strongly to it, and therefore the people that would read it would be the people concerned about senseless banter, as it was there.

Posting "cheese!" was not my idea of an intelligent discussion. I suppose I would of done better in the Lounge or feedback; because maturity seems to be escaping some people recently. Is it just the weather?
