Seriously, I got Source SDK, and I don't know if it will work, but this would be fun. Ideas?

Hmm...

The only thing I could think of is that there would be lots of powers (weapons) and the ability to fly (not like noclip).

That would be a lot of coding...unless you went for more of a storyline like thing...

And I too am a mapper. I'm currently starting on a map for Natural Selection 2 called ec_eva that will be based of my escort idea.

Why is this in senseless banter? SomeGuy...do you not give much credence or respect to your idea? Or perhaps you were kidding yourself. Whatever the case...if you were serious, this shouldn't be in senseless. If you created this thread just to get a chuckle...it's fine where it remains.

You'd need more than the SDK, you would need to have an extended knowledge of C++ to be able to make a mod. You would also need good, well thought out maps.

And if it were to be anything like a true lucid dream, you would have to have destructible environments, and Source just doesn't support that, unfortunately.

It's not that it's outdated...it's just that if you took destructible environments + Source's Physics = Epic Lag
