I was about 8 years old with my twin brother swimming in the ocean. We thought it was cool to keep swimming towards the waves. Then, the waves dragged us farther and farther away from the beach. They were huge waves crashing over us, and we didn't know what to do. We tried our best to keep swimming but there was a point where we were getting tired. We couldn't stay up much longer, and that's when the life-guard came a saved us. If he didn't see us tiny kids about to drown in the ocean... we could of been dead.

I was walking to a store and a red car came speeding at me. They stopped in time before hitting me, but if they didn't... I could of been killed or seriously wounded.

I was hiking and had altitude sickness. I was about to fall off the cliff of the mountain, and let's just say we were pretty high up there next to the edge. Luckily my dad caught me in time, but if he didn't, I could of been dead.

I'm just gonna say this one because its kind of funny (nothing to do w/death.)
My church had this mission where we went to Mexico to build houses. Our group was combined with this other church from some other state. There were about a hundred of us. Well, one day they decided to take all of us (100 ppl) to a taco stand. I told two advisers that I was going to the bathroom. I had to wait in a long line to finally get in the bathroom. I started to hear noises outside, saying something about leaving. I thought they wouldn't leave me. Even though, they had no counting system, and everyone just sort of jumps in a random white van. I still told myself yeah... they wouldn't /leave/ me. Well, I opened the door and guess what! All a hundred people were gone. Here I was, alone in Mexico at a taco stand. Great! I walked out and the guy who works in the stand started to try to speak English. He was like... They... left you? I nodded. Phone... number? No, I don't know their phone number. The reason why I don't know their number is because I didn't really know anyone that well. In fact, I think that's part of the reason why I was left behind, I didn't know anyone and no one really knew me. Then, these two other people who were there started asking me in pure English, where they were at, etc. I told them where, but they said they have never heard of it. Then, out of the blue a white van made a wrong turn and was coming down the street. The guy in the stand runs out, stop the van, and brings them over to the stand. I hop in and tell them thank you. The first person I see was one of the advisers that I told in the beginning that I needed to go to the bathroom. She freaked out and was crying, and was very sorry. Funny thing was, I wasn't crying, nor scared at all throughout this lovely event.
