If I wanted it in Senseless Banter, I would have put it here myself. Most of you have missed the point, including our newly appointed moderator who seemingly felt fit to move something he obviously didn't understand. I would like my thread "Violent Expression" to be moved to Senseless Banter if this thread remains here, along with every post I have ever made with regards to Zen/Meditation.

This thread is not about mindless nonsense. It is about mindful nonsense, partly. Pondering on nonsense is involved in the path to Zen enlightenenment. Pondering intensely, year after year, on Koans such as, "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" is part of Zen training. One of the principles of Zen is that the universe is absurd. A student of Zen once asked his master what the great secret is. The master put his shoe on his head. A student of Zen once revealed to his master that he had reached enlightenment. The master replied, "There is nothing left for you to do at this moment but laugh."

Yeah I missed the point as well until you explained it. Perhaps it came off as senseless because DuB didn't understand it (or knows nothing about zen). Although I am still not convinced that this thread amounts to much more senseless banter, I admit that I probably should not have stuck my nose into a thread from the R/S forum, which is generally a moderation-free zone. I had forgotten that fact and in the future I will give that forum the proper amount of distance. (I'm still getting used to this moderator business.) However, ClouD's response to my admittedly questionable decision was inappropriate and disrespectful. If he had taken the issue up with me in private, as per the forum rules and regulations, there is a pretty good chance that I would have moved the thread back and removed my post. If this answer satisfies your curiosity, then let's put it behind us, shall we? I mean, let's be honest, this thread is not exactly a hotbed of discussion anyway . If you have any more questions about the matter, feel free to PM me, otherwise Zen your hearts out.
