well im not 1337 but well i looked through the MSN thing and theres absolutely no registry files for MSN! its all in one single .exe file that would be impossible to edit without risking eternal whatever....

i think it has nothing to do with the msn program as it does with the service and stuff.... ill try and figger out mah parents password... because its the same as mine but they have it on save password but if i mess with it itll unsave the password and all hail will break loose

well its never been there before... i would have noticed it lookin at the system tray. I think its because i just recently upgraded my perents computer to windows Xp and MSN 9.. my mom just started going on the internet regularly just recently, so she maybe just set it then. I knew when it started when it had blocked a bunch of sites (like 75% including this one, easy to bypass) but i cant seem to figger out how to get rid of monitoring stuff.

With all due respect, as you just said yourself, it is your parent's computer. Perhaps if you don't want them to know what you are doing on THEIR computer, you should go buy your own.

No i have my own, but with MSN, the information isn't stored on the computer, its on the MSN server. I am using my own computer right now but everything that my mom changes about my account on her computer, it automatically changes it on my computer. Other than that, I have a login password for the computer that my parents dont have. Its just my moms account password i need

why does she have access to your msn account? O_o get a free hotmail account to go around it and only use it for messenger if you dont want her looking trough your logs.

Ok... Since her email address is the "Primary" account, she can set parental controls for all the little "secondary accounts". Everything she does on her comp is automatically updated to the MSN servers. So when I go on, it monitors me.

And free hotmail accounts suck, and MSN tracks that, too. It even monitors everything I do OUTSIDE of MSN.

Oh... while my mom was taking a bathroom break (girls take too long) i disabled the parental controls... i dont think my mom will notice. Shes not as "computer-savvy" as most people... but she still looks like lenne

monitors what you do outside MSN?? Yea right o_O
If you'd log in on someone's computer and then that person would log in after that, that account would be monitored too? Just get a free hotmail account to chat if you want (how can it suck when you just use it for messenger)

In this crazy world if they don't consider you mad, then you have no confirmation of your own sanity, do you?

You know whatever solution you take, anybody with half a brain monitoring the logs may note that the keylogger got turned off (because it will log itself getting turned on).
