Okay, so I'm out cutting grass in the cool afternoon climate of this summer day and I decide to take the shoes off to do it barefoot. Immediately I am blasted by my dad about the fact that I'm shoeless and he gives me these really disgusted looks like he is really disappointed about me being barefoot. I just ignore it and say that it's comfortable.
Later on my mom passes by while I'm cutting grass and I don't really give her any look, but I can tell she noticed my bare feet in my peripheral. Then out of no where one of our relatives comes by and she doesn't give any notice to the fact that I'm barefoot. She actually only comments about the fact that I have to push-mow the entire yard (over 30 acres) and how that must really suck.
However, when she is later leaving our house she comes out with shoes in her hands and tells me my parents "ordered" her to tell me to put on some shoes. I was thinking what the heck? Why does it seriously matter if I'm barefoot or not. The fact is it's my feet and I can do what I want to. I mean I don't find it too attractive that my dad walks around the house in his briefs constantly and farts every five minutes, but I don't confront him about it and give him crap about it.
Oh well, some people just don't understand all the great benefits of spending time shoeless...What do you guys think about this? Would you be offended if you saw me on my own land bare foot cutting grass?
