Does anyone have a good recommendation of a news site that isn't affiliated with mainstream media (CNN, FOX, CBS, BBC)?

I'm tired of half a web page dedicated to this Michael Jackson bullshit for weeks straight. The same thing happened with the whole H1N1 Strain of flu a couple months back. I want to know learn what's going with more important issues in the world.

The closest thing I can find is wn.com. But are there any other good ones out there?
