Relationship Fails

So yeah. Post stories of how you horribly ended your relationship with somebody. I'll go first.

So, I was on a beach at Sierra Leone (most underdevolped nation in the world) and I met the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. If she reads this I'm gonna be so embarrassed. Anyway, we flirted for a while, and then she introduces me to her Sri Lankan boyfriend. (The people you meet in the developing world...) We poke a jellyfish with a stick, and go home.
Next time I go to a beach, she's there without her boyfriend. I find out that he's an objectifying gastard, and convince her to break up with him.
Did I mention her mom was dating the managing director of the largest phone company in the country?
So, then, at Christmas, we go to the beach for two days, and she's there as well. We flirt for like 2 days (my brother was wrapped up with Lebanese girls...).
Her mom's boyfriend starts inviting us to dinner parties. He's indian, so we arrive at 7 and eat at 9. We flirt there too.
Next thing I know, she's in Spain, no way I'm ever going to be able to see her again.

What are yall's fails.

Right after my junior year of high school, a friend of mine and I were in Destin, Florida. On the beach one day, we met two high school girls from Birmingham, Alabama. We ended up going to their condo to hang out with them that night. We had a lot of laughs, and they were a lot of fun. Everything was going really well. From there, we all four ended up hanging out in the hot tub by the swimming pool and having more good laughs.

While in the hot tub, I had a condom in a pocket of my shorts, and it didn't dawn on me that the wrapper had air in it and could float to the surface, which it did. I saw the condom in the wrapper floating around on the surface of the water, and I schemed to grab it without anybody noticing. Unfortunately, the girl I was after noticed it and said something to me about it. The other two were caught up in conversation and didn't notice, so I told the girl I was after that it must have been my friend's condom. They were prudes, so this was a big deal. She kept talking about it, and she got the attention of the other two. The other girl started making a thing of it. I just picked it up and threw it while acting like it was nothing and I knew nothing about it. A few minutes later, I started talking about all of the off the wall things people leave around the pool area. I said something like, "Rafts, diving masks, beer holders..." and the girl my friend was after said, "Condoms..." Right about that time, the two girls suddenly had to go in for the night. They didn't walk down to the beach with me and my friend as we were leaving, and they didn't even say goodbye. It was a straight up fail that had been heading for a win (well, I could have at least made out with the girl.) before things got messed up. At least I got a story out of it.

It happened in 1989, and I haven't made the same mistake since then. I'm glad I learned the lesson then and not on a first or second date with a woman I wanted something serious with. That would have sucked a thousand times more.
