      Ouch.

So last night I think I was somehow stretching in my sleep, not constantly, just maybe like one long stretch of my legs at some point. Problem was this wasnt like a good stretch, more a huge tendon-yanking stretch . I remember it hurting when it happened, though I wasnt really conscious

Long story short, its morning and in my right leg, the (tendon?) from below the knee (on the back-facing side) to my ankle hurts like hell when extended (ie im standing up).

Anyone know any causes or solutions? Dont think its the first time Ive done this, but certainly the most severe

Ouch is right! If it still hurts tomorrow, I'd probably go to the doctor.

Drink lots of fluids to help flush your system out. I know your not sick but it will help. Make sure it's healthy fluids too.

      Stretch it out too.

It's a cramp, I get them quite frequently (and yes they are a bitch). It's just your muscle flexing really hard for no reason (I find that it happens often after exercise, like running), the pain is caused by all the strain on the muscle, tendons and ligaments. If it happens again, just get up and walk on it, it will help loosen up the muscle. The discomfort can last for a few days depending on the severity, so try not to force your leg too much after a cramp, because your more likely to get another one during that time.

Yeah, it's a cramp, lost of liquids and stretching.

I get them so bad in the bottom of my feet sometimes that they go numb for days, I think I have permanently lost feeling in some parts of my left foot.
