I have forever had skin problems on my feet. I form pointy calluses on the bottom of my toes. They bother me so much that, for years, I clip them off harmlessly with nail clippers. But it doesn't help the problem itself.
Also, my middle toe is longer than my big toe. When I'm highly anxious or sleep depraved arthritis flares in my big toe. It's now second nature to place my middle toe on top of the big one and I flex it until it pops- but that's on the right foot where I'm more double jointed. For the left, I flex the big toe against the inside of my sandal or the floor until it pops. But in doing so, I've formed a callus on the front/top of my toe.
Whenever I soak my feet, I use my fingernails to exfoliate the dead skin which builds very quickly. I use lotion and creams sparingly.
Just like my fingernails, I keep my toenails very short and I file them plus hard calluses but to seemingly no or little avail.

Here's some embarrassing pics. Does anyone have any recommendations?
