This is a very bizarre problem and I've tried my best to describe it as coherently as possible, but it's pretty damn indescribable.

So whenever I'm very ill, sometimes, at night, I get an attack of this whatever it is. The first thing I notice is that the sensations in my hands and especially my fingers change - and it's not a nice change. The general sensations of touch become a lot more intense, but at the same time it feels as if your hands are made of just bone - at other times it feels your hands have a flappy marshmallowy substance for skin. There are various sensations, all centered around the hands and fingers, and it's really really horrible-it's annoying and nauseating at the same time, and makes you feel like you're going mad. Touching things is horrible, and I usually end up bunching my hands into fists - but that makes it worse. I just have to try and keep my hands still. Apart from the hands, this wierd thing attacks your other senses too. It seems like everything is moving very quickly and loudly - even when you're sitting still, everything seems to be zooming around you at top speed and with the volume all the way up. Also, every tiny movement you make feels really exadurated and huge and as if time slows down so everything is so much more sensation filled. It may sound cool but it's absolute torture. Not only is all this happening, but I'm also ill, and it makes you go crazy too! Usually I just have to lie down and wait for it to go, or try sitting on my hands or things like that. At the time it seems like the worst thing in the world.

I've had this maybe on average once every six months, whenever I'm very ill. Just recently I've been VERY ill and had about half a dozen attacks over the past couple of weeks, which is what has prompted me to try and describe it.

Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced something similar before, or if anyone has heard of it from somewhere else.

Thanks.
