Curse of LDing and sleep patterns (for me)

I'm not really looking for a sollution...unless you have one =).

But anyway, ever since getting into lucid dreaming, everytime I sleep I pretty much get one, but the problem is, I wake up in the middle of the night, after a dream, lucid or not, and then I've gotten into the habbit of recounting the entire dream in my head so that I can write it down when I wake up by remembering what I thought, rather than remembering the dream completely on my own. I read in lEWOLD that your more prone to remember the dream you had if you wake up...then if you don't in between dreams. Anyway, I now end up going to sleep, waking up 2 hours later, recalling the dream, and then being unable to sleep again.

I'm really looking for more of a "yeah I have that problem too" response than a, "I don't have that problem but what you can do is" response. Of course what i'm looking for and what I will appreciate are two very different things. Any and all comments are very much appreciated by me, no matter what they are.

I would suggest, just writing down a few notes when you wake up from a dream. That should be enough to make you remember it, without keeping you up to long.

That does happen to me too, if I stay awake to long thinking about a dream. Especially if it's a Lucid one.

I don't have that problem, but what you can do is: ...

No seriously, I don't have lucids yet, but when I DO wake up after 2 hourse of sleep with a normal dream, I can't fall asleep either. The only aids I've found are good ol' sleeping pills. Mmmm... tranquilizers.

I have that sometimes. I remember my dream in so much detail that the time I spend writing it down is too long for me to drift back to sleep.
How I discover what my dreams are about

In my last lucid dream I made pink sparks between my palms. I was trying to make a white ball of energy...

I've got the solution but you're going to need a pencil, a tape recorder, ductape, a chair, a trained mind-reading gorrilla, and a desk. =P

Actually I just think of one thing important about the dream and the rest starts to come back. I guess this all comes with experience. The longer you do your dream recalls, the easier it will be for you to recall them at any time during the day so you can write them later in the day instead of when you wake up between dreams. Especially WILDS since that seems to be normal. My question would be, is there a way to make your WILDS longer? Someone here told me to look at my hands, which I'll try tonight.
      Warning!
      This is only a test.

Your body is rested... Get up and use it, and go to sleep only when you need it again..

There are many ways you can make a lucid dream last longer, looking at hands is one, rubbing hands, or spinning being another two. But not everything will work for you, as I found out. My best way to prolong my lucid dreams and make them clearer is to ask the nearest DC how to do it. They will tell you the best way for that night and it works all the time

You could use a Dictaphone to quickly record your dreams? Then making it much easier for you to fall back to sleep?
