Post Your Best Tips Here For Breaking The 'normal' World Of Sleep

Feel free to post anything here which you think will soften the impact of going polyphasic.

I myself am going to attempt dymaxion at the start of the new year so I am looking for quality advice on how to go about it. If I can crack it I would like to go a minimum of 6 months maybe up to 2 years. I know this sounds far fetched but i am really up for this(ask me again one week into it and it might be a different story haha) and i will log my attempts in the name of science(and riches)!!!!!!

      WISH ME LUCK

      Dymaxion? You are crazy!

I suppose you are already a member of the google polyphasic group? If not, that's the place where you'll find more info than here I guess.

The only advise I can give you: make sure you have LOADS of work to do when you start, so it's easier to stay awake and gives you a goal to get up after a nap

crazy? why? ihave been told uberman is easier but the longer waking hours make it more attractive to me. have you tried anything like this before?

and yes i have just joined the google group and i have got some good info already. i am just trying to widen my scope of people who have tried this sort of thing as not everyone knows about the group.

Better, not make it easier. The only thing you have to do is - 1. not sleep, whatever it happens and preferable without coffein to get in the way, for some time WITHOUT mistakes. And the other thing is to have loads of work - movies dont work. They make you sleepy as hell. But cleaning the house, repairing things and that kind of stuff ready to go will help you. And other thing - you must know that dymaxion is probably the hardest polyphasic technique, and you will feel like a compleate shit for at least a few days (probably more than a week) and if you fuck up in some way (miss a nap, do longer nap, change nap time) you wouldnt be able to do it.

I'm on Everyman sleeping schedule for 2 weeks now (starting again after 2 days of illness) and very content with the adjustment period, it's easier than expected.
I certainly wouldn't be able to adjust to Uberman or Dymaxion. So little sleep and feeling so f*cked up in the first one or two weeks, that's not my cup of tea
Plus the fact that you have to be VERY STRICT on you nap times, is something I cannot incorporate in my daily schedule. I need my flexibility too much

Therefore, I think you need to be a little crazy to try Dymaxion (crazier than trying uberman or everyman, that is)

is this your first attempt or have you tried other regimes before. i often read of people who mess with their times and i think this must be the main reason why people fail as it needs to be adhered to to make it work properly.

also, the lucid dreaming is supposed to be easier on these schedules so maybe i can improve on that over time. i have had a couple or so now but i am not at the regular stage or where i can make it happen at will
