I sleep for eight hours every night, ten on the weekends. I think that's enough sleep, I hope it is.

Sleep also supposedly will help you lose, or prevent, gaining weight

Maybe more sleep makes for a longer life, but I sure as hell don't *feel* alive when I'm sleeping, except perhaps when I'm lucid.

What's the point - sleep less and live longer while younger. Do I really want to sleep away my youth so I can live extra years when I'm old...

So I guess I shouldn't feel bad about my 12 hour naps :p With my sleep schedule, I'm on the path to becoming the world's oldest living human being.

      I doubt that's too healthy Jeff. :p

If I sleep too much I get a headache.

And if I go to sleep early, I feel like I'm missing out.

This is a little misleading as sleeping in excess also causes health problems. More than 9 hours of sleep has equally consequential results. Ever feel lousy from sleeping for too long..?

I can provide references if it is necessary..

Well, I didn't bother to watch the video, it's late hehe

But is there any mathematical comparison? I mean, If you sleep more, but it's not proportional to the amount of time you live more (like you spend less time awake in an overall comparison), then i don't think it is worth it. I wanna spend the longest amount of time possible awake, no matter if that means sleeping more or less

And YEAH oversleeping does me bad - I become a zombie of sorts (I notice I think slower than usual/have less ability to concentrate)

The Man who doesn't Sleep (Thai Ngoc)

Sixty-four-year-old Thai Ngoc, known as Hai Ngoc, said he could not sleep at night after getting a fever in 1973, and has counted infinite numbers of sheep during more than 11,700 consecutive sleepless nights. "I don't know whether the insomnia has impacted my health or not. But I'm still healthy and can farm normally like others," Ngoc said. Proving his health, the elderly resident of Que Trung commune, Que Son district said he can carry two 50kg bags of fertilizer down 4km of road to return home every day. His wife said, "My husband used to sleep well, but these days, even liquor cannot put him down." She said when Ngoc went to Da Nang for a medical examination, doctors gave him a clean bill of health, except a minor decline in liver function. Ngoc currently lives on his 5ha farm at the foot of a mountain busy with farming and taking care of pigs and chickens all day. His six children live at their house in Que Trung. Ngoc often does extra farm work or guards his farm at night to prevent theft, saying he used three months of sleepless nights to dig two large ponds to raise fish.

There's other guys who also never sleep and have no side effects. At least two.

As for the video, the sound konks out on me early on, so I didn't get to hear it all.
But I bet they don't mention that as you get older, your body produces less melatonin.
Melatonin research on rats increased their life span by over 20%.

Melatonin is the hormone your body releases when it's drowsy and regulates your sleep cycles.
That drowsy feeling actually IS melatonin at work.
People over 40 start having less and less melatonin released into their system.
And guess what? There's supplements you can take, and it has zero known side effects or symptoms.

But Since I dunno what they said, I can't argue much.
About the weight loss... that wasn't true with me. I lost 8kg in the month I did uberman.

Another thing : The older I get, the more I realise how many times I've been screwed by doctors. They don't know nearly as much as they think they do.

If I had followed doctors, I'd be on thyroid supplements and blood pressure supplements for the rest of my life.
As it is, I have a huge purple keloid scar on my leg because of an idiot doctor.
