      Is this normal?

      Occasionally when I'm falling sleep, i've just drifted off and from what I guess is very soon after I get feeling in my leg that I've just been kicked but without pain so its more like a jolt that wakes me back up.
      Is there a name for this and is it normal?

      This is very very common and has happened with everybody I have asked.
      I have no idea what it is, but I've always had the idea that it's a reflex reaction due to something happening in your dream, and because your body isn't completely asleep yet, it actually reacts to the situation you're imagining.

      Something Kinda like anti-sleep paralysis. Probably because your body isnt numbed enough yet, or something like sleepwalking
