Anyone know during which stages of sleep melatonin and HGH production are highest? Is it mostly produced during REM sleep, or another stage, or all throughout the sleep cycle? I'm fascinated by these alternative sleep patterns but before I try anything I want to find out a little bit more about what they do to the production of these hormones. To me, that seems to be the major concern with the systematic buggering-up of one's sleep pattern. Does anyone know anything?
