      Braces question

      I didn't know where else to put this but i have a had braces for about a month now, the quetion is why does it hurt for only like 4 days then you can't feel anymore pain. The pain is caused by teeth moving but the teeth are still moving after 4 days so why doesnt it hurt anymore?

      I used to have braces, kinda hated them.

      The pain at the start is the teeth/gums/whatever moving. After a while they still move but not as much, plus they have become more flexible so the pain isn't as bad.

      But dont worry! Thats why you go back to the orthadondist(sp?) every now and again, so he can tighten them up for you so the pain comes back. Yay! Isn't he just great?!

      They're probably not used to the tension on them because of the braces. After awhile, they either get used to it or what ^^ said with they don't move as much. Its a very slow process though.
