      Can't sleep anymore.

I hardly sleep, I hardly dream.
It makes me crazy, I shake because of the lack of sleep.

I tried drugs, they don't work.

I fall asleep at 4am and get at least five or four hours if I am lucky.
I have classes early two days a week, that means two hours of sleep those days.

      I need advice!

When did it start? maybe you are living a stressful period in your life and you need to arrange this issue in order to be able to sleep again.

I got the same problem with sleeping, and im not stressed. I just started going to bed earlier, then at least i still get my 8 hours of sleep, even though i spend 12 hours in bed. Im looking for some sort of solution also. Although a simple joint makes the process of sleeping easier, I just dont have the money to waste on weed for every night, so I just smoke a joint right before bed when I absolutly must get some sleep for the next day.

I don't consider weed like a drug... Or is that my excuse for smoking it?

Listen to funeral doom metal, it might help you go to sleep

      Yes I did....for three days.

I think I may have insomnia...it would make sense.

And Life, Yeah....weed is cool, I smoked it but it got me into other things.
So I try to stay away.
      And....metel droom music?
      Like....any suggestions for a band?

I tried to lay down until I fell asleep lastnight.
      No luck.

I need a good earthy organic sleep pill.

Try reading up on melatonin supplements. I don't think that there has been much research on the effects of them, but they might be worth a go.

Also, I read on another forum about trying to regulate the body's melatonin cycle, which might help you out. The guy said that he tries to avoid sugars after 2 or 3 pm, and runs for 30-40 mins a little while before he wants to go to sleep. After a while, these might start to help. Make sure that at night, if you end up starting to feel like you need to sleep, go to sleep. It's your body's way of telling you its ready. Also, I have read that waking up at the same time every morning helps also, because the body knows when it will have to wake up the next day, and will try and coordinate its cycles accordingly. Hope that this is of some use to you.

Besides that, maybe just try seeing a doctor. Might be of more assistance to you than a forum.

      Good luck and sweet dreams.

      Awwhahah...thanks.

Yeah, I don't eat suger at all through out the day.
      So suger is no problem.

I never feel tired at night.
But I did something right, because I took a nap today for 29 minutes and that is really good for me.

Hm...silly question but have you tried chamomile tea? I don't know why but I was told it's suppose to help.

If you're not tired at night you can try doing something to wear down your body, like exercise.

If you take any sort of stimulants (ie. coffee) that isn't medically necessary you could try not, or just not consuming it so close to bed time.

I have tried the tea, never worked.

I drink energy drinks, but never before bed.

So...I accepted the fact that Yeah....I don't sleep.
      I got over it.
I can nap, and dream then.

If it gets to worse I will visit the Doctor.

      So....Thank you everyone.
I will take this advice and try it out.

      Sweet dreams!

You can't give in just like that. MY advice is to avoid those energy drinks and run for 30 minutes or so before bed. I started using the treadmill recently before bed and I am finding that I can sleep with no problems. Infact, once I overdid on my part(41minutes) and when I hit the pillow, in no time, I was feeling medium vibrations starting from my feet. Unfortunately, I concentrated on them and then they disappeared
