When I hold shift for around 10 seconds I get this "sticky keys" thing come up. I click cancel but then the touch pad starts to play around. When I scroll down it goes between pages I've been on the internet and when I click on a word, it high lights every word upto the one I click.
The only way I get rid of the problem is by turning the laptop off (restarting it doesn't).

Is there a way to stop this happening?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, it does have a button for settings when it appears to turn off the hotkey.

Sometimes it's not enough to uncheck "sticky keys". You shoul go "sticky keys setting" and in there disable the first selection. (use short cut)

lol, i used to have loads of fun with the beeping in Accounting when I was in high school, just keep bashing the keyboard and it'll eventually turn itself off. Just another great example of WINDOWS FUNCTIONALITY.

Reminds me of battleship sounds....

That or a great example of how reading the message that pops up could've saved you a lot on broken keyboards.

I don't run windows on my computers, so that's never a problem.. who cares about the broken keyboard in school.
