Alliteration aside, this is some of the best news I've heard in a good long time.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Fallout series, the first game came out in 1997 and was amazing. Basically fallout is a post-apocalyptic role playing game with turn based combat. fallout 1 and 2 were essentially the same graphics and mechanics wise with a few improvements in the second, but both were awesome games with very in depth story lines and countless side quests.

Interplay, the production company behind the games had planned on a third, but they ended up having to shut down the developers of the Fallout series, Black Isle Studios, and so the development of number 3 was halted.

Later, Interplay ran in to some financial difficulties and ended up selling the rights to the third Fallout game to Bethesda Softworks, the company that has made such show stoppers as Morrowind, Oblivion, and the rest of the Elder Scrolls series.

This all went down several years ago, and Bethesda had announced that production on the game wouldn't begin until 2004, but they didn't end up starting until all of the work on Oblivion was done.

Now, to make a very long story short, Bethesda says that the game is still a long time off, but they will be releasing a teaser trailer on June 5, 2007; also known as tomorrow. For those of us who have been waiting to play another game from this epic series, this is some amazing news. Even to just get a glimpse of what I will one day be able to play is more than I thought I could hope for after so long. I loved Morrowind, I have heard only good things about Oblivion and I have high hopes for what this company can do with this series.

The official website (HERE) has been releasing regular concept art and will be showing the trailer tomorrow.
