Yes, assuming you have Xp, set it to a slideshow for pictures, put your desktop in a folder on its own and then fiddle with the settings so it works, if you leave effects off it should stay the same picture with no changes. That's how I'd do it in any case. |

Desktop/Screensaver Question
I'm wondering, is it possible to, in a way, set it so that your 'screensaver' is actually your desktop background?
I mean, what I want is so that after maybe 5-10 minutes of inactivity or something, that my icons and start & task bars fade away, leaving just the background.

I'm aware. I just kinda like the effect. The problem is, that the picture doesn't match my resolution. Its stretched to fit, but when I do that for the screensaver, its not matched up properly. So its not the same effect I'm looking for. Ah well, can't be avoided I guess.

You can edit the photo - even mspaint has stretch

Yeah but then the resolution is horrid. If I set the picture to stretch to fit, it looks great. If I stretch it in MS Paint (which I tried) its just ugly as hell.

Ask someone who has a decent image-editing software to do it. They can image stretch precisely to the pixel.
