You appear to be getting a valid DNS lookup, which means your local HOSTS file isn't overriding anything. The trace does seem to be getting there. |

Just make sure you aren't using IE6. That has had 281 security issues logged compared to Opera's 1 and Firefox's 0. Opera also does not have any unpatched vulnerabilities - Firefox has, and IE7 has some severe ones. |

I have mcafee, and it gets rid of most. and i also have adaware, and it does the rest. ive never heard of spybot before. |

No, Safari now comes with the iTunes package for Windows. It doesn't import any settings from IE so whatever your uncle did shouldn't carry over. |
