Someone in the next room is on their cell phone. |

It's ghosts. Simple. |
|
Is this for a landline or a cell phone? |

Landline. |

The FBI is tapping your phone lines. Except, they screwed something up (you know how the government is) and now the lines are all over the place. |
|
Can you just hear someone faintly or are you listening in on their conversation? I don't know about the former (perhaps some sort of echo on the line), but if you can hear them clearly, and especially if they can hear you, contact your phone company or whoever handles the phones and inform them that your line is crossed with someone else's. |

It's called Schizophrenia. |

You should be able to press a button on you're phone to change the frequency (channel). Phones use 2 frequencies at the same time from what I've observed (I'm not 100% certain). On one of them you can only hear the person who's phone you are picking up and on the other you can hear both sides. Phones in the 900mhz range are the easiest to pick up because of the propogation and for some reason the phones that use frequencies up in the GHz don't have audio when they are picked up, not that I try to listen to my neighbors' phone calls or anything |

Only now with the guiding hand of your greatness have I been shown my uncouthness. Would only that there were some way I could make it up, or even place into words the full magnitude of my sorrow at your loss. Alas, no solace I shall have. |

The way that you keep replying to me seems to indicate so. |

I'd say more like a little brother after being told he wasn't allowed to play with my legos. |

Riot - it's your severe lack of a sense of humour that is blowing away the thread. I bet if you had just put in a "haha nice one" or whatever, there would be more useful advice in here. |
