      Google Analytics

Anyone used this before? It is an awesome, and FREE website counter! And it is more than just a counter, this thing tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about your website, including individual page hits, where people clicked on the site, etc.

For anyone who has their own site I would really recommend they check it out

You have to register your own site and add their code to the bottom of your page to get stats.

Yes I've used it for some blogs. Great service indeed! And it must cost a fortune for Google to run, too...

Google is funny. Google already knows a lot of things about you. If you also use this tracking service, you will tell Google how much you earn, when you earn it, which products you sell, how often you sell them, how much you spend for ads on other sites and you will reveal much more information about your online business. I think I'll pass on this one.

Unless Google is going to send someone to rape me in the middle of the night I really don't mind them knowing stuff about me.

What's the worst that could happen?
