Is there a way to save writeable PDFs?

      http://www.exchangestudent.org/apply_short.html

I want to apply to this program, right...
When I open up the short term application pdf, I can write in it, but when I save it it doesn't save what I wrote in it, just the application. Is there a way to save these with the actual information I put in? It would simplify things a lot.

      Print it to PDF

this will print the original form, plus your additions to a new PDF document

      You'll need a PDF printer
CutePDF Writer is good for Windows

      OOO... Thanks a lot...
Actually, I'm using Linux/Ubuntu and the preinstalled pdf viewer can already do that (and I might add, it opens up pdfs about 10x faster than acrobat on windows. I always dreaded opening up any pdf thing on windows, and got mega pissed when I did by accident. Now opening up one takes about 1-2 seconds... it's great.).

But... when I print it to PDF, it doesn't print it as a writeable pdf (that is, writeable in all the same places). Is it too much to ask for for it to print as PDF and instead of just saving my changes, save them and make them still editable?

Thanks a lot by the way.

I don't know if you can save the contents in an editable form, actually
      probably not

      That's unfortunate
Is it just me, or does that seem like that is a huge fumble on the side of the people who created the software (adobe?). I mean, SAVING DOCUMENTS is a thing that comes with most software nowadays. I suppose adobe thinks they are TOO COOL to allow people to save? But yeah, seems pretty awful that they didn't think of it/implement it.

      PDFedit
      http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/open-s...df-writer.html

      never used it,
but apparently it can open PDF's in an editable form

      it's in the Ubuntu repo's

      also,
OpenOffice is getting PDF editing abilities at some point (with version 3, I think)

Oh god, I'll just stick with copying and pasting my information from the printed PDF. "pdfedit" is probably the ugliest program I've ever seen. They are desperately trying to make it look like a cracked version of windows 95 or something. Not to mention confusing as hell and not user friendly at all. Thanks, though
