Thread: input channels for TV

I know this is dumb, but I just spent like an hour moving the shelf that holds my TV and rearranging all the cords to clean up the mess and have all my video game systems and DVD player plugged into the TV. Then I realize, I only have a Video 2 channel (which is what my Wii is connected to) and there is no Video 1 channel for my DVD player. I have a pretty crappy TV (but it was free) by Ilo or whatever, and I don't understand why theres a Video input 2 but no 1? also, if I used a S-video cable to attach my DVD player to the TV, will that be the only cord I'll need?

I'd assume the S-input is Video 1

If your DVD player has an S-video output then yes, that would be the only cable that you need.

Provided, of course, that you have a separate audio cable(s). Just to mention the overly obvious, which is all too often overlooked.
