      Charging ipod

      Can i charge the ipod classic 6th(?) generation with a 1st generation wall charger?

      as long as the voltage, current and polarity match
      and the physical plug/socket is the same, then yes

      if not, goto a decent electronics store
      they often sell all-in-one chargers for portable devices
      (take the ipod with you)

      people lose chargers all the time, and supplying cheap compatible replacements is good business for electronics stores

      ok, well, i do not have time for that, as i leave for Ukraine tomorrow... can i plug it into their pc to charge even though they do not have itunes? would that delete all my songs? thx

      No, if there is no iTunes then nothing will get deleted. If you do have iTunes and it's a different playlist then you first need to set the iTunes preferences to manage music manually. (Do the same with calenders, videos, email...) Make sure that you plug it into the correct slot though. I know that some PCs still have USB 1.0 plugs and those don't supply power.
