      Sick. Just...Sick.

      This is gangster as hell:
      http://cnettv.cnet.com/2001-1_53-32532.html

I'm so doing this with Ubuntu, and maybe Fedora on another. All I have to say is...Bring a whole OS around, to boot whenever you want? Yeah, forget it. I'm already drooling.

Hey guys, I'm back. Feels good man

I've seen this before, but I've also heard bad things about the site they show you...

Puppy linux is an cool one to use, as long as you know what youre doing.

      also, just for fun, mac-on-a-stick.

I've got a similar setup on my mp3 player
I devoted 8Gb of my 30Gb storage to a portable linux install

Oh cool, I'm trying mac on a stick.

PROBLEM! I can't unpack the .bin files. If you could extrat these for me, that would be cool. Go to here:
      http://www.info.apple.com/support/ol...twarelist.html

      And search (Ctrl+F) these:
      Macintosh/System/Older_System/System_6.0.x/SSW_6.0.8-1.4MB_Disk1of2.sea.bin
      Macintosh/System/Older_System/System_6.0.x/SSW_6.0.8-1.4MB_Disk2of2.sea.bin

Thanks! I'm on a windows (eww) and I can't get stuffit.

they extract to 1.4Mb floppy disk images

      http://www.snoopy.force9.co.uk/aa/System%20Startup
      http://www.snoopy.force9.co.uk/aa/System%20Additions

but you're going to have to write these to a floppy disk
these are raw disk images, so simply copying them won't work
      (akin to .iso CD images)

      under linux, just do
      Code:
      dd if=./System\ Startup of=/dev/fd0
but god knows how you do this under windows
