DDR2 is physically different in size and number of pins, so it won't even fit in your mobo. DDR has 184 pins, while DDR2 has 240. And the quote says nothing about DDR2, just different types of DDR. |

So I have a DDR1 type of RAM, and it's too expensive to buy as much of it as I need for an upgrade. |

Well I was hoping that I can buy a new mobo without having to buy a new CPU... Really, it's silly to buy a new PC if the only bad thing about the old one is the amount of RAM. I hate how everything is interconnected in PCs, how to upgrade one thing you have to upgrade others. |
