So I went into best buy yesterday (a little long rant)

to get a laptop for college. I have very little understanding of laptops. I told them that I wanted it for college and they reccomended me a choice of four computers (those installed with microsoft office and norton antivirus). We spent about 45 talking about them and any accessories that might be needed.

I was instantly hooked on the sony vaio (others were Toshiba, HP, and Dell). I liked the spaced keyboard, the non-smudge finish, and the sensitive textured mouse. But what really sold me was the estimated 5 hour battery life. I had the money so I asked to buy it.

They then have the nerve to check if it's in stock! Of course because this is a rant it wasn't! The manager was even the one who assisted me. Best Buy should be aware of when they go out of stock before they try to sell something. It was waste of gas, waste of money, and waste of time.

So I went home disappointed with a 16 inch case and a cooler(?). I planned to leave with a computer. I wouldn't yield for second choice. If I was paying that much money I was going to get what I wanted.

I only checked online today, no other stores near me were selling it. I checked the reviews and they were mostly nice, except one thing. The battery life. By up to 5 hours, most people couldn't get more than 2 when in MS word, ~3 if power was managed. Of course sony is going to say it depends on the programs running. But with all of this stuff preinstalled, with no note of that, that is downright deception
